The Remnants of the Past Antique Show is just around the corner on Saturday, October 8th & Sunday, October 9th at the Madonna Expo. It’s a lovely event that showcases a wide range of  vintage antiques from local and national vendors. It attracts the attention from women throughout the country who travel to San Luis Obispo for this bi-annual event that has gained national recognition from noteworthy publications, such as Country Living Magazine.

We feel a special connection to the event as it emulates the beautiful French style that inspired the essence of our salon, A French Touch Parisian Skincare Salon, in downtown San Luis Obispo by the creek. In fact, much of what you see in our salon is from vendors featured at antique showcases like Remnants of the Past.

SLO Women’s Network Mixer at A French Touch – what a succès!

On August 18th, we enjoyed co-hosting the SLO Women’s Network New Member Mixer at our salon along with Beach Butlerz and Dream Dinners, both fabulous Central Coast businesses.  A great group of local business women stopped by to partake in the networking fun, making it an all-around succès! 

Beach Butlerz didn’t hold back – setting up their most comfortable beach loungers for all to put their feet up after a full-day’s work.  Our favorite treat was that they brought along their large umbrellas to keep everyone protected from the sun’s harmful rays. 

While Beach Butlerz was helping our guests Skip the UV, we wanted to be sure they didn’t have to Skip their Tans in the process.  We treated the women to a complimentary Colorescience Pro Minerals bronze makeover.  They learned how to have an illuminating golden glow without the harmful and damaging effects of the sun. 

A meal with Dream Dinners is always a treat – to which our guests can surely attest!  Their pulled pork sandwiches on fresh French rolls and sweet teriyaki meatballs were a hit. 

Laetitia Vineyard and Winery were quite generous and donated a case of their delightful champagne on which the women happily indulged.  As the sun began to slowly set behind the hillside, Beach Butlerz lit their bon fire and began roasting tasty s’mores.  Overall, the event provided local women of San Luis Obispo the opportunity to get to know one another and share their interests and talents.
